on Sunday, September 19, 1999 As the trip progresses I plan to update this site.

Background information: Mary and I took our honeymoon on an AMTRAK train from Seattle to Miami on Labor day weekend in 1993. I took my scanner and we listened in on the train crews all the way. "No defects" gets rather old, but the alternative is not to good either. A conductor in Florida gave me a list of AAR radio frequencies and railroad assignments when Mary mentioned I did not know the correct frequency. Mary was on business in Miami, so while she worked I put labels and stamps on the CALLBOARD and mailed the September issue from Miami FL. After our week in Miami I flew home and Mary flew on to Boston on more business. We met up again in Seattle and in discussing our trip Mary mentioned she thoroughly enjoyed the train ride and would like to travel across Canada for our fifth anniversary. Well our fifth anniversary came and went - we had been to the NMRA national convention in Kansas City and figured we could not afford another vacation that year. So here we are married going on six years and ready for another honeymoon.

Pre Trip Checkout of BC Steam Engines: While on a weekend trip to Seattle for FOLKLIFE I broke away and chased some trains. Heading into the North Vancouver Station I came upon the excursion train being put away for the night.
